Terms of Use
1. What this is
Police Scanner Pro is a directory and player for publicly available live audio streams, published by Bosleon. Using the app or this website means accepting these terms.
2. We do not operate the feeds
Every feed is operated by a third party: a volunteer, a broadcaster, an agency or a directory. Bosleon does not own, control, moderate, record or rebroadcast them. When you press play your device connects directly to that third party; audio does not pass through our servers.
It follows that we cannot guarantee any feed is available, accurate, complete, timely or suitable for anything. Feeds appear, disappear and change without notice.
3. Not for emergencies
Do not rely on this app in an emergency. It is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for one. Feeds are frequently delayed, incomplete or offline, and some agencies deliberately delay or encrypt their traffic. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
4. Lawful use
Listening to public safety radio is legal in many places and restricted in others. Some jurisdictions limit scanner use in a vehicle, or while committing an offence. You are responsible for knowing and obeying the law where you are. You must not use the app to interfere with, obstruct or evade any lawful activity. Nothing on this website is legal advice.
5. Things you must not do
- Redistribute, rebroadcast, record or resell audio obtained through the app, except where the operator of that feed permits it
- Scrape, mirror or resell our catalog
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Use the app to harass anyone or to break the law
6. Subscriptions
The app is free to download and use. An optional subscription unlocks Premium features including CarPlay and Android Auto, Dual Listen, unlimited favorites, listening history and the sleep timer.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple or Google, not by us. They renew automatically until cancelled, and you manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled under the store's policy, not ours. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial.
7. Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, including removing feeds, at any time. We aim to keep the catalog working but promise no particular uptime.
8. Intellectual property
The app, the catalog as a compilation, and the Police Scanner Pro name and logo belong to Bosleon. Audio content belongs to whoever produced it. Nothing here transfers rights in third party content to you.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The app and website are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bosleon is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the app, or from reliance on any feed. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Feed owners
If you operate a feed and want it removed from the catalog, see feed removal. We act on requests without requiring you to justify them.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
