Privacy Policy

Effective 11 August 2026

The short version. The app has no accounts. We do not ask who you are and we have no way to identify you. Your favorites, history and settings never leave your device. We do not sell or share anything, because there is nothing to sell or share. This website uses Google Analytics, but only if you accept it.

The app

What stays on your device

These are stored only in the app's own storage on your phone. They are not transmitted to us or anyone else, and deleting the app deletes them:

You can erase all of it at any time in Settings, Delete favorites and history.

Location

Location is optional and the rest of the app works fully without it.

If you use Nearby and grant permission, the app requests a coarse location, roughly which town you are in rather than a precise position, and sends that coordinate to our catalog server to find feeds close to you. We do not store it. It is used to answer that one request and then discarded. It is not written to any log or database of ours. A rounded copy is kept on your own device only, as described above.

Microphone on Android

The Android app may ask for microphone permission. This is used for one thing: the on screen activity meter, which shows how busy a channel is. Android requires the microphone permission for the system audio visualizer even when an app is only reading its own playback. No audio is ever recorded, stored or transmitted. Decline it and everything else works normally; you simply get a plain status indicator instead of the meter.

What our servers receive

When the app fetches the feed catalog, our server sees the request, which includes your IP address as any web request does. We use this only to serve the response and to rate limit abuse. We do not build profiles, we do not link requests to individuals, and we do not retain access logs beyond what basic operation and security need.

When you press play

Audio does not pass through our servers. Your device connects directly to the organisation operating that feed, which means that third party can see your connection, including your IP address, exactly as if you had opened their stream in a browser. Their handling of that is governed by their policies, not ours. The app lists who operates each feed.

Analytics and advertising in the app

The app contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third party analytics or tracking SDKs. Nothing follows you between apps or websites. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it ships.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. Because there are no accounts, your subscription is known only to the store and to your device.

This website

The website is separate from the app and does use analytics.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It is loaded with consent denied by default, so no analytics cookies are set unless you press Accept on the banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are stored. You can change your mind by clearing this site's storage in your browser.

Google Analytics collects standard web data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referrer, and browser and device type. We enable IP anonymisation. We do not run advertising, remarketing or cross site tracking, and we do not sell website data. Google's own handling is described in their privacy policy.

The website sets no other cookies.

Children

The app is rated 17+ and is not directed at children. Live public safety radio can carry distressing or explicit content that nobody moderates in advance.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data tied to you, there is no account to access, export or delete. The app data that exists is on your device and under your control. For questions or requests, including anything relating to website analytics data, write to [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes and the app will note it. Continued use after a change means acceptance of it.
